Robert A. Jenks, M.D.
Dr. Jenks joined Surgical Associates of
Columbus in August of 1992. A graduate of Davidson College, North
Carolina he has a BS in pre-medical science. He graduated from the
University of South Carolina, School of Medicine with his MD in 1986 and went on
to his General Surgery Residency training in Buffalo, New York at the State
University of New York at Buffalo. After completing his training, Dr.
Jenks returned to the south to begin his practice here in Columbus.
Dr. Jenks is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is certified by the American College of Surgeons as a provider for Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is on the medical staffs of The Medical Center, St. Francis and Doctor's hospitals. He is the current chairman of the Department of Surgery for The Medical Center. He serves as a preceptor in surgery for the Physician Assistant training program of Emory University. Special areas of interest include laparoscopic surgery.
