Kenneth L. Smith, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Smith is a
board certified general surgeon who was in private practice in Anniston, Alabama
for many years. During that time, he developed a special interest in
breast surgery and was instrumental in bringing new surgical techniques and
equipment to that community. Following his interest in breast surgery, Dr. Smith
went to California for additional training where he was the Rachleff Fellow
in Breast Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. While there,
he received training in state of the art techniques for the treatment of breast
diseases. Upon joining Surgical Associates of Columbus in August 2000, Dr.
Smith brought his years of experience in general surgery as well as specialty
training in breast surgery to our community.
Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is certified by the American College of Surgeons as a provider in Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is on the medical staffs of The Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and Doctor's Hospital.
