What we do.

A Broad Range of Services.

Surgical Associates can provide a full range of general surgical care using the latest treatment techniques available, as well as several specialty areas not found in many general surgery practices.  We perform a full range of general surgical procedures either in the hospital operating room or in our office minor surgery procedure room.  We provide vascular surgical treatment for peripheral vascular disease affecting the arteries in the legs, arms, neck or abdomen.  Surgical care of infants and children requires a special commitment.  We take pride in providing pediatric surgical care with skill and sensitivity to the special needs of our younger patients.

Laparoscopic or

Minimally Invasive Surgery

With recent advances in technology, many abdominal operations can now be performed through small incisions using the laparoscope in a minimally invasive technique.  Discomfort, hospital stay and recovery time are greatly reduced using minimally invasive techniques.  Our surgeons are fully trained and credentialed in many laparoscopic operations.

Trauma

Injuries are a regrettable part of life.  Should you or your loved one become injured in a car crash, on the job, in a fall or due to physical violence it is critical to have trained, experienced surgeons standing by to provide emergency care.  Surgical Associates provides this much needed service to the community.  Our doctors are certified by the American College of Surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support and have extensive experience in treating trauma patients.

Teaching

Each surgeon in our practice is involved in medical education.  We provide surgical instruction for physicians in the Family Practice Residency at The Medical Center.  Our surgeons serve as surgical preceptors for Physician Assistant Students from Emory University and The Medical College of Georgia.  Surgical residents from Morehouse College rotate with us as part of their general surgery residency training.
