Our Office Staff

Office Manager

Our office is managed by Sandra Johnson.  With over 26 years of medical office management experience, Sandra has seen it all and is well equipped to help handle any problems that may arise.  She is a member of the Georgia Medical Group Managers Association and a member and past president of the West Central Georgia Medical Managers Association.  Sandra is a Certified Medical Assistant.

Clinical Staff

Our clinical staff is headed up by Nelta Yarbrough.  She has been with SAC since 1993 and is a Certified Medical Assistant.  Under her supervision are two additional members of the clinical staff.  Mary is a Certified Medical Assistant and has been with us since 1997.  Shannon came to SAC in 1997 and is a Certified Medical Assistant.  Kim is our newest Certified Medical Assistant.  The clinical staff take vital signs, move patients into and out of examining rooms, assist with dressing, suture removal and minor surgery.  They may help the physicians with obtaining medical history and arrange for any needed home health services.  If you call our office with a medical question or problem, you will probably speak with a member of the clinical staff first.  If needed, they will contact the physician.

Reception/Dismissal/Scheduling

Tiffany is the (hopefully) smiling face that you will see first upon entering our office.  As receptionist, she checks patients in and notifies the clinical staff of your arrival.  She will be gathering any needed demographic information on new patients.  Keleigh is our dismissal clerk.  She makes follow-up appointments and schedules any tests that the physician has ordered for you.  Charlotte does our surgery and admission scheduling.  If your physician has scheduled surgery in one of the area hospitals or plans to admit you for treatment or testing, Charlotte will call you to her desk to make arrangements.  A major portion of her job is pre-certifying your insurance for any planned surgery.  She will also review the details of any pre-operative preparations that are needed.  Peggy is our switchboard operator.

Business Office

While many patients do not have direct personal contact with staff in the business office, their work is essential to the smooth running of our office.  Dawn, a Certified Medical Assistant and Certified Procedural Coder, is primarily responsible for patient accounts and billing.  Often questions come up regarding billing and she can help clarify items or correct any rare errors.  Both Tobey and Carolyn work in our insurance department.  Denise and Lisa work with patient accounts and medical records.

Vascular Lab

The vascular lab is physically separated from our office and is in The Medical Center.  Bobbie is our receptionist in the lab and we have two Registered Vascular Technologist, Dennis and Doug.  For more info on the lab, follow this link.
